My name is Sue. Do you ever feel that life isn’t quite what you expected? As a Christian, I have faced many difficulties in my life. Some of those were family troubles, illness and at one point, I died. But throughout my life I have never faced these things alone. I asked Jesus into my life when I was 13 and He has been with me through every situation. Jesus never promised to take away our problems but He did promise to never leave us. He also said that He would strengthen us to go through troubles with Him by our side.

With my husband Tony we run a group for adults to discuss what the Bible says about life and what it means to have Jesus in your life. In our studies we have been looking at being changed in the way we think and act by letting Jesus take over our lives. We looked at putting other people’s interests first and serving them the way Jesus did. This goes very much against what the world says we should do because it means putting yourself out for other people and not expecting anything in return.

Sometimes it means doing things for others without anyone knowing about it. That goes against the grain, doesn’t it, because we so like to be praised for what we do for others. When you accept Jesus into your life He gives you the ability to live the way He lived, which was a life of giving to others.

Jesus said “I have come that you might have life – life to the full”. When Jesus is involved in your life, it will never be the same again. If you want to know more about Jesus, why not come along to our church or contact us through the website.
